Fall 2024 on Film
Coming at you live (a little later this time) with fall film! I try to have all of my film developed towards the end of each season, but ran a little behind this season because…life. For what felt like one of our longest, hardest seasons…looking back, we sure did squeeze in a lot of fun.
I don’t think it’s any coincidence that I have a massive amount of photos from this season. (Seriously, you’re going to want to spare some time to sort through this post. I even divided it up for sheer volume!) I’ve been reminded lately as I’ve turned to my annual January introspection that photography is my greatest gift—and in a very literal sense—has saved my life over and over again.
I feel the most in touch with my inner child (or rather, inner high schooler discovering photography) when I find a cool, vintage car to capture. Or when the sun hits just right peeking behind some trees. Or, capturing the late afternoon sun piercing through the windows, shedding beautiful light on a very temporary living space—when I’d rather be anywhere else.
Some highlights to look out for below…
—My favorite Forest Park spot, General + Shoppe
—Weekends in Tuscaloosa
—Visiting Nashville + a new favorite café
—No Man’s Land (A.K.A. making the most of a few different temporary homes)
—My dad’s precious annual neighborhood pumpkin patch
—Exploring our new Downtown neighborhood
—A few quick beach getaways
—And finally…Halloween! (Our current claim to fame: winning the costume contest at Golden Age Wine Garden for dressing as the “famous Phoebes.”
