30 on 30A — On Film

We just arrived home from celebrating my 30th birthday on 30A (kind of catchy, right?) and Peyton and I both agreed that it was one of our best vacations to date. We’ve done our share of traveling together, but rarely do we make SUCH a point to really unplug and unwind. There is such a difference between a trip and a vacation, as I’m coming to understand. Whatever the inspiration may have been, I found it easier than ever to willfully part ways with my devices and Wi-Fi connection than ever before.

If you know us, you know how special the 30A area is to us. We both grew up revering the vacation spot and were simply tickled anytime either of our families chose it as the spring break getaway. Now that we’re all grown, it’s just as much of a treat to visit the spots we’ve grown to love over the years, just the two of us.

Of course, I had to pack my film camera and capture as many moments as possible, which has proven to become more of a relaxing creative outlet than an obligation while traveling. Of all of the places I’ve traveled to, the 30A area remains one of my greatest sources of visual inspiration, especially in capturing the stunning architecture and golden light of the Rosemary & Alys Beach areas, and every corner in between.

From spending golden sunsets on the beach, to officially celebrating my birthday with fun outings and surprises, to spending time wandering aimlessly, capturing the architecture of our home for the week, these film highlights capture some of the best moments of our time away. Open your Airbnb account in the other tab (trust me—you’re going to need it) and enjoy!
